Customize the Look of Your Space

A manager of a space can customize the appearance of a space in a number of ways, such as the selecting a theme, adding a logo/banner, a favicon, custom stylesheet, select what tabs to show and what they point to (Power and Premium plans), and select what content gets displayed in the right sidebar.

Select a Theme:

Each space is created with a default appearance.  To change to a different look:

  1. Click on the "Manage" button in the upper right corner on the banner for your space
  2. Click on the "Appearance" button
  3. Scroll down to the "Theme" section
  4. To view theme thumbnails and descriptions, click on each of the theme names to see theme thumbnails.  Additionally, to view a full scale preview of a theme click on a theme name, then click on the "Preview" button.  The preview will open in a new browser window.  After viewing, this window can be closed.
  5. To select a theme, click on the theme name
  6. Click "Save"

Use Your Own Images to Create a Custom Theme

As a manager of a space you can upload images to customize the overall look of your space (not available in Work-Group plan).

To use your own images to create a custom theme for your space:

  1. Click on the "Manage" button in the upper right corner on the banner for your space
  2. Click on the "Appearance" button
  3. Scroll down to the "Theme" section
  4. Click on "Advanced Options"
  5. In the section called "Custom Images" you can upload your own images to replace the images being used in your current theme.  The far left allows you to upload your own image, in the middle is an explanation of where the image will be displayed, and on the right will be a sample of the image being used in the current theme.
  6. Click "Save"

To further style the images you have uploaded, you can add custom css (see below).  In addition, you can upload an image which will be included in emails sent from your space.

Add Custom Styles

  1. Click on the "Manage" button in the upper right corner on the banner for your space
  2. Click on the "Appearance" button
  3. Scroll down to the "Theme" section
  4. Click on "Advanced Options"
  5. Scroll down paste the section called "Custom Styles"
  6. Paste in styles into the text field
  7. Click "Save"

Add a Logo and Color, or a Custom Banner

Logos will look best around 58px high. Banners should be 948px wide.

Add a Logo and Custom Colors: 

  1. Click on the "Manage" button in the upper right corner on the banner for your space
  2. Click on the "Appearance" button
  3. Scroll down to the "Banner" section
  4. Click "Browse" next to the "Logo" field and upload a file
  5. If desired, select a background color and/or text color 
  6. Click "Save"
Add a Custom Banner:
  1. Click on the "Manage" button in the upper right corner on the banner for your space
  2. Click on the "Appearance" button
  3. Scroll down to the "Banner" section
  4. Click on "Custom Banner" in the lower right corner of this section
  5. Click "Browse" and upload a file
  6. Click "Save"

Add a Favicon 

Favicons are small icons used in the browser's title bar (or tab), the URL bar and next to the space in bookmark lists.  Favicons are normally 16h x 16w in 256 colors and can be .ico, .gif, .png file formats. 

  1. Click on the "Manage" button in the upper right corner on the banner for your space
  2. Click on the "Appearance" button
  3. Scroll down to the "Web Address" section
  4. Click on "Show advanced options" in the lower right corner of this section
  5. Click "Browse" to upload your favicon
  6. Click "Save"

Add Custom Footer

  1. Click on the "Manage" button in the upper right corner on the banner for your space
  2. Click on the "Appearance" button
  3. Scroll down to the "Footer" section
  4. Type in copyright / rights information (will be shown at the bottom of each page)
  5. Click "Save"

 Enable WikiWords Linking:

  1. Click on the "Manage" button in the upper right corner on the banner for your space
  2. Click on the "Appearance" button
  3. Scroll down to the "Wikiwords" section
  4. Check the box
  5. Click "Save"
