Google Analytics
Google Analytics (available for those with the Business plan) makes it easy to track the use of your space. It can "help you learn even more about where your visitors come from and how they interact" with your space. By tracking activity, you can then tweak various parts of your space – write better ads, strengthen your marketing initiatives, and create higher-converting websites. Google Analytics is free to all advertisers, publishers, and site owners.
- Create an account with Google Analytics
- Follow the Google Installation Instructions for setting up tracking of your space(s)
- Locate your google tracking code and simply copy the actual code (ex. AA-123456-1)
- Click on the "Manage" button on the right side of the space banner
- Click on the "Analytics" icon
- Scroll down to "Google Analytics"
- Paste the code in the blank (ex. AA-123456-1)
- Click Save
Google Meta Verify
Google uses the meta verify tag to verify web site ownership in their Webmaster tools .
To add the google meta verify tag:
- Click on the "Manage" button on the right side of the space banner
- Click on the "Analytics" icon
- Scroll down to "External Analytics" and "Google Meta Verify"
- Simply cut and paste the 'content' of the meta tag Google generates for you into this field
- Click Save
Google Sitemap
A sitemap is a file that helps describe the structure of your space to Google and other search engines. You can create a sitemap for free at http://www.xml-sitemaps.com/
To add a sitemap
- Click on the "Manage" button on the right side of the space banner
- Click on the "Analytics" icon
- Scroll down to "External Analytics" and "Google Sitemap"
- Upload the sitemap file you have created
- Click Save
Yahoo Meta Verify
Yahoo uses the meta verify tag to verify web site ownership in their SiteExplorer tools.
- Click on the "Manage" button on the right side of the space banner
- Click on the "Analytics" icon
- Scroll down to "External Analytics" and "Yahoo Meta Verify"
- Simply cut and paste the 'content' of the meta tag Yahoo generates for you into this field
- Click Save
