Add Links, Images and Tables

Customize the look and feel of your pages and new articles by adding links, images and tables.

Add a link:

1. while in edit mode, highlight the text you'd like have linked
2. on the editing toolbar, click on the "insert link" button
3. in the window that pops-up, you will see that there are a number of things that can be linked to - select one of the options listed below:
• Recently visited content (which includes pages, news, events, forums, etc.)
  
• a new page
• a specific URL or bookmarks 
• a file within the space (or you can upload one)
• other items of interest such as profiles within the space, email addresses, the welcome page, tabs and more
4. click the insert button and the text is now linked
   

Insert a widget:

Near-time now supports the following widgets: Brightcove, SlideShare, SurveyGizmo, YouTube, Google, Gmodules, Odeo, Hipcast, Wufoo, Myngp, Veoh, 30 Boxes, Widgetbox, SpringWidgets, Grazr, Yahoo, Meebo, Frappr, Trippermap, Gabbly, PollDaddy, LinkedInABox, The Onion, Icebrrg, Ebay, Amazon, Twitter, Utterz, ESPN, Mogulus, Viddler, Caspio, Yourminis, Vime.

Note: Javascript based widgets are not currently supported.

To insert a widget: 

1. while in edit mode, place your cursor where you would like to insert the widget
2. click on the "Insert Widget" button on the toolbar
3. in the Insert Embed Code field, paste in the widget code
4. click "Insert"

Insert an image:

To insert an image: 

1. while in edit mode, place your cursor where you would like to insert the image
   
2. click on the "Insert Media" button on the toolbar
3. In the window that pops-up, you will see multiple options - select one of these
   • upload an image from your computer
   • select an image from the space
   • enter the URL of an image on another website
4. click "Insert"

The image can then further modified by clicking on the image, then click on the "Edit Image" button on the toolbar.

Add a table:

1. while in edit mode, place your cursor where you would like to place a table
2. click on "show advanced tools"
3. click on the table icon and customize the table - click "insert"
   

To customize cells or rows:

1. click on "show advanced tools"
2. to the left of the table icon are icons for row and cell properties, inserting or deleting rows, inserting or deleting columns  - select the appropriate icon and make the necessary modifications
